Anxiety
Anxiety affects individuals in different ways at different times. Stress comes and goes dependent on external factors e.g. work, relationships and illness. However, anxiety can be present even when there is no obvious cause. .
Childhood Issues
Childhood issues vary according to each family, but people who have had a dysfunctional childhood often grow up to have emotional problems. These can include problems with self-esteem, feelings of worthlessness and limiting self-beliefs.
Chronic Pain
Chronic Pain has been defined as any pain lasting more than twelve weeks. It differs from acute pain which is a normal sensation that alerts us to a possible injury. However, pain and suffering are not the same. not conscious.
Depression
Depression can result in a wide variety of symptoms which can be physical as well as emotional. You should always see a doctor if you think you may be depressed. If you have depression you will have been constantly sad for weeks or months.
Insomnia and Sleep Issues
Insomnia and sleep problems can have a variety of causes. I can show you techniques to use before going to bed. These will help to relax you and prevent negative or obstructive thought patterns getting in the way of sleep. We can also consider your general level of anxiety and stress and reduce that as well.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable Bowel Syndrome is a common condition that affects the digestive system. It causes symptoms such as stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhoea and constipation.
Lack of confidence and low self-esteem
Lack of confidence and low self-esteem result in us seeing ourselves, and everything else, in a negative, critical light. This can be harmful to your mental health and can lead to depression and anxiety.

OCD can be distressing and significantly interfere with your life. It is rooted in stress and anxiety. OCD can be very difficult, not only for those people who have the symptoms, but also for their families and friends. Causes are varied, but can include trauma and family related issues.
Panic Attacks
Panic Attacks are frightening, but they always pass, and the symptoms are not a sign of anything harmful happening, These physical symptoms are caused by your body going into “fight or flight” mode.
Phobias
Any phobia may produce a state of panic when the sufferer is confronted with the phobic object or situation. Phobias have a wide variety of physical symptoms including nausea, pounding heartbeat and jelly legs. For this reason, many people with phobias develop avoidance patterns.
Stress
Stress affects everyone. It is a completely normal reaction when faced with pressure situations. In moderation, it is good for us and can motivate us to perform better. However, excessive stress causes people to feel overloaded, very tense or emotional, and inhibits performance.
Schedules can be hectic and it’s not always easy to make it to a face to face therapy session, with all of the demands of modern life.
You may prefer to have online sessions over Skype, Zoom or FaceTime, which means that we’re able to fit in the work we do together more flexibly at a time that works for you. When we work online, I am still able to provide recordings and resources for you to use outside the session.
