Employees are the lifeblood of business and keeping individuals healthy at work is fundamental to good working practice. It is estimated that 1 in 4 people in the workplace are experiencing stress and anxiety.
Figures released for 2019/20, from the UK Health and Safety Executive indicate that 55% of workforce absenteeism is stress related.
I have developed The Resilience Template Workplace Training to support the emotional, mental, and physical health of employees. This training offers a comprehensive, structured approach to understanding and managing stress symptoms and includes a workbook and audio recordings.
I provide bespoke resilience workplace training which meets the demands that both your employees and industry face. According to the NHS and MIND, each year 1 in 4 people will experience mental health issues, This means that even if they have not discussed it with you directly, a high proportion of your colleagues may currently be struggling.
- With professional mental health intervention productivity can increase by up to 12%.
- We know it is better to keep people in work if possible.
The benefits to companies who provide professional mental health support are clear:
- Absenteeism figures improve.
- Productivity rises.
- Staff morale and motivation increase.
- Presenteeism reduces – the effect of stress on the brain can induce ‘brain fog’ and this can impact focus, efficiency, and quality of work.
- Staff retention improves – which means that the cost of recruiting and training new staff reduces.
What might stress and anxiety in the workplace look like?
- Frequent staff absence.
- Changes in appearance and temperament.
- Reduction in output.
- Simple mistakes and errors occurring.
- Low motivation and morale.
- No diagnosed medical condition, but symptoms like headaches, back pain, and heart palpitations reported.
- Reduction in focus and concentration.
- Full personal breakdown.
I provide 3 levels of support which can be adapted to your needs and are as follows:
Level 1: Bespoke mental health and resilience team training. In these evidence-based sessions, we identify what stress is, we address the impact of the pandemic on our mental health, the additional issues that have been created by furlough and the long-term effects that stress has on both the individual and on business. I will provide science-based tools to help your workforce manage stress effectively.
Level 2: Team training as above, and one-to-one stress analysis and evaluation sessions for each member of staff. During these confidential sessions, I will evaluate stress and anxiety levels. I will provide individual programmes of support and compile a confidential report based on common issues recurring for your team.
Level 3: Level 2 training and to one-to-one therapy sessions, where appropriate, for individual members of staff. I will not only identify issues but provide safe, confidential, insured treatment, on-site or off, as required.
My sessions are evidence-based and skills-focused. This is not an off-the-shelf experience or a sticking plaster box-ticking approach to mental health it is backed by research and is transformational for businesses.
