Radio You and the Nine Resilience Resets

Is Your Body Trying to Tell You Something?

Imagine that, from the moment you wake up until the moment you fall asleep, there’s a radio playing.

Not in your kitchen.

Not in your car.

Inside you.

I call it Radio You™

It’s broadcasting all day, every day.

Your body is constantly sending messages about how you’re coping, what you need and when something isn’t quite right.

The problem is that most of us have become experts at tuning it out.

We ignore the headache because we’ve got another meeting.

We push through the tight shoulders because everyone is busy.

We snap at our partner and blame them instead of noticing we’ve been mentally overloaded for weeks.

We tell ourselves we’ll slow down when this project is finished.

But Radio You™ doesn’t stop broadcasting just because we stop listening.

Eventually, it turns the volume up.

Sometimes that looks like burnout.

Sometimes anxiety.

Sometimes chronic pain.

Sometimes complete emotional exhaustion.

For me, it was three prolapsed discs and a year spent rebuilding my health after my legs simply gave way one morning. Looking back, the signals had been there all along. I just hadn’t been listening.

Learning to Tune In

One of the most important skills we can develop is interoception—our ability to notice what’s happening inside our own body.

Think of it as learning to tune into Radio You™

Once you start listening, you’ll notice different signals.

Some days your body is saying, “I need to move.”

Other days your mind is saying, “Please stop thinking for five minutes.”

Sometimes your emotions simply want to be acknowledged instead of pushed away.

Sometimes your environment is so noisy that your nervous system can’t settle.

Sometimes you’ve spent so long caring for everyone else that you’ve become disconnected from yourself.

The question isn’t:

“How do I stop feeling like this?”

The question is:

“What is my body trying to tell me?”

Introducing the Resilience Resets

That’s exactly why I created The Resilience Template® Resilience Resets.

They aren’t a checklist.

They’re nine different ways of tuning into Radio You™

Each Reset invites you to pause, notice the signal and respond with what your nervous system actually needs.

Not what social media says you should do.

Not what your smartwatch tells you.

Not what everyone else expects.

What you need.

Some days your reset might be movement.

Some days it’ll be quiet.

Some days it’ll be a creative outlet.

Some days it will simply be naming what you’re feeling instead of pretending you’re fine.

Every reset starts with the same question:

“What frequency am I on today?”

The Best Time to Listen to Yourself

We often wait until the signal becomes unbearable.

Until the anxiety won’t settle.

Until the exhaustion won’t lift.

Until our body forces us to stop.

But resilience isn’t about ignoring the warning lights.

It’s about noticing them sooner.

Because our bodies whisper long before they shout.

If we learn to tune into Radio You™ every day, those whispers become much easier to hear.

And when we listen earlier, we recover earlier too.

So today, before you reach for another coffee, before you tell yourself to “just keep going”, pause for a moment.

Tune in.

What station is Radio You™ broadcasting today?

And more importantly…

What is it asking you to do?

Cheers
